CNA training courses in Delaware are required to be made up of a minimum of 150 hours of training, which need to be equally divided between classroom learning and clinical experience. The program offers classes during a variety of times so students are able to choose a schedule with classes in mornings, afternoons or evenings depending on availability.

The Terry Campus of Delaware Technical College (DelTech) in Dover, Delaware offers a CNA certification training course that is a total of 275 hours and includes a 90 hour clinical rotation. The program arranges an internship for students in a medical practice as part of the course hours. The course is free for students who are Delaware residents and who meet the Department of Labor’s eligibility requirements.

The Dawn Career Institute in Wilmington, Delaware offers a CNA certification training program with qualified faculty that help students gain a variety of classroom and clinical experience. The program contains course work in nutrition, anatomy and physiology, infection control, communication skills, patient rights and has a focus on important personal care skills.

The K.F.W. Medical Institute of Delaware located in Newark, Delaware offers a CNA certification training program that takes place over a six week time period. The course requires students to complete a total of 156 hours of training that is split between time in the classroom, in labs, and in clinical areas. The program places a strong emphasis on providing emotional support and care to all patients. There is financial aid available for this program, and is available to students who qualify.
